Some of my favourites from The Recorded Sayings of Zen Master Joshu (778-897)

I am glad that I have been able to share these with so many people over the years, but sometimes I worry a little that I have given the impression that Joshu himself did not sometimes get extremely owned.

I received this commission on my ko-fi and I thought I could share it in case somebody was interested in it. I couldn’t find the original post, so if the scanlator wants me to take it down, please, do write a comment or anything ,_,

A few notes and disclaimers under the read more:

Page 1: I translated oyako kaeru as frog family because of the limited space, but it is essentially a small frog on the back of its parent. 
Page 2: The mouse says お願うデス instead of お願いです. It’s basically a word pun: デス stands for ‘death’, so you can read it as “I have a wish/request” and “Death, that I wish”. 

Last but not least: consider that English is not my mother tongue, so if it sounds odd… that’s why. Hope you like it!
